Emerging from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, independent artist Seth Walker announces the release of his deeply personal new single, “Stay For One More Sunrise,” available worldwide on October 30, 2026. Blending elegant piano melodies with uplifting electronic production, this dance-pop track poignantly explores the emotional complexities of cherishing time with loved ones while facing the inevitability of farewell.
Inspired by Seth’s own journey alongside his mother Sheila, who battles corticobasal degeneration (CBD)—a rare and progressive neurological disease—the song unfolds from the perspective of a son confronting the possibility of a final goodbye. It begins with tender piano and intimate vocals, painting a vulnerable scene, before building into a warm, atmospheric dance rhythm that elevates the heartfelt narrative without losing its emotional core.
The lyrics capture a son’s earnest plea: “Stay for one more sunrise, Mama. Watch the sky turn gold with me.” They evoke treasured childhood moments and a deep yearning to hold onto even the smallest fragments of shared time. Yet, as the song progresses, the message transforms into a profound expression of unconditional love—although Seth desperately wishes for more time with his mother, he recognizes how exhausted she has become from her long battle with illness. He reassures her that if she is too tired to continue fighting, it’s okay to let go, spread her wings, and find peace in heaven. Sometimes the greatest act of love is giving someone permission to rest, even when saying goodbye feels impossible.
The song’s emotional journey culminates in its final chorus, when Seth sings, “Stay for one more sunrise, Mama. Then spread your wings, I’ll let you leave.” What begins as a desperate plea for one more day becomes a promise of enduring love and acceptance.
This juxtaposition of uplifting electronic sounds with heartfelt lyrics mirrors the intertwining of grief, love, gratitude, and hope. Through this emotional texture, Seth channels his personal experience into a universal testament to the bittersweet journey of anticipatory grief and the preciousness of time spent together.
Alongside the single, an emotionally charged official music video brings the story to life with moving imagery and intimate storytelling that emphasize the tender bond between mother and son. The video highlights the transition from desperate hope for more time into acceptance and love—offering a cathartic experience for listeners who have faced similar realities.
Seth Walker, who also took charge of songwriting, lead vocals, creative direction, and AI-assisted production, ensures the track remains a heartfelt tribute anchored in honesty and modern musical expression. His previous single, “Rearview Full Of You,” achieved significant international chart success, reaching #1 on both the German iTunes Dance and All Genres charts, #1 on the Canadian iTunes Dance chart, and #15 on the UK iTunes Dance chart, demonstrating his growing global impact.
“Stay For One More Sunrise” stands as more than a song—it’s a meaningful reminder to treasure the ordinary moments with loved ones before they become the memories that sustain us. Dedicated to his mother and all families navigating terminal illness, Seth’s latest release embodies the strength found in love and letting go.
Listeners who appreciate the heartfelt electronic styles of artists like Kygo, Calum Scott, Lost Frequencies, and David Guetta will find Seth Walker’s new single a compelling addition to this lineage.
